« on: March 17, 2008, 11:08:49 AM »
so it took me about 5 hours to do the bd lift on my kicker, some things i adjusted were my radiator hose rumbed on the vacum canister but i cut the hose to fit, my intake hade to be lowered, and i think my front friver side break lines need to be extended for full flex.  Some things i still need help on are, none of my shifter boots work anymore, my back bumoer doesnt fit.  a lil help goes a long way thanx

How much body lift did you go with? I know on mine I had to turn the boots around the other direction and then they worked fine. I did a 2" body lift. Your back bumper should still fit, but the cover wont reach the tailgate area anymore. You can drill and drop a couple screws accross the top of the cover into the metal under-bumper to hold it in place. You'll have a gap between the bumper and tailgate, but it will still be covered. You could also try to fab up some brackets to raise the bumper to match the body lift so the cover fits like stock up top, but you'll probably have to trim the bottom a little to clear the tank bar and ends of the frame.
Had a cool sig pic till I changed the text... sigh...

I lifted my rear bumper rebar with 2x2x2" box tube. I welded them to the frame, and bolted the bumper bar to the top of them.
For the front, I just temporarily modified the brackets till I make something better. I'm going to incorporate 3x3" box tube with a 2" reciever in the factory bumper.
