I'll ask again......where did you get your info that 4 doors were made from 89-95?  Is that your "suzuki dealer verified info" you speak of?  If so, real good "verified" info you got there. ::)

Since you seem to have all the "dealer connections" that provide you with "verified info", why won't you answer my questions I posed to you in my last post?  It would help support your credibility.....since all I've heard so far from you is an inaccurate statement from you supposedly quoting your "dealer verified info".  And while you are at it, have suzuki provide you with how many units were sold in any year other than 91, that had 5.375 gears in them.  Hell, have them give you the unit numbers for the 91s too, that had 5.375s.

You ever think that maybe the reason the 5.375 gearsets are so rare is because they were only offered for one year, and in one particuliar drivetrain configuration?

I gave you your "exception" by saying my list may not be 100% accurate......why can't you accept that?  And you think I need a hobby?  I am sure as hell not going to say 5.38s can be found in 89-95 4 door sidekicks......which is the only, and not to mention, vague, statement I have heard from you.....I haven't heard of a drivetrain cofiguration they came in (for any year other than 91), I haven't heard of an option package they came in, I haven't heard of a dealer option code, nothing.  At least I can back up my supposedly "weak platform" with a drivetrain configuration.  What have you got?  Nothing, but a bunch of people telling you they were offered in other years other than 91.

Oh, btw, I have "5.38s in my life"......pulled them from a 91, 4 door, of course.

YOUR DEALER VERIFIED INFO STATEMENT "5:38 gear set = suzuki part#27300-60822  were offered from 1989-1995 for the sidekick 4 dr manual" IS WRONG.  4 DOORS WERE NOT MADE UNTIL 91 (FACT)......OR ARE YOU TOO F'N STUPID TO REALIZE THAT?  AND IF THAT PART OF THE STATEMENT IS WRONG, WHY SHOULD WE BELIEVE ANY OTHER PART OF THE STATEMENT IS TRUE?

I CAN'T ARGUE WITH SOMEONE THAT HAS NO COMMON SENSE.
I'M DONE WITH THIS THREAD.

uhh flexmonger, the "info" you get from a dealer aint worth SQUAT ... wake the fawk up.

skyhiranger ... I did get under my '91 4dr 3spd auto and measured correctly this time ... they are indeed 4.625 diffs. (I needed to pull the parts rig into the shop anyways so could actually get under it and count 1 tire up, 2 revs of the tire resulted in 4.6 revs of the pinion)

I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy it.

Dealerships, parts counters and even Suzuki specialists give good and BAD information.... Your points have been made (both sides) so please refrain argueing and insulting comments:

If you have valuable input (not argument or insulting responses) please continue; If not the thread will be locked form further use.

my 2 cents: Take ALL information with a grain of salt.... I have been told by a Suzuki/Geo dealer that my 89 Sidekick was never made...That all 89's were Geo Trackers... He even stood by his comment after me showing him mine (that was sitting in the parking lot)... With 'your Tracker must be modified to look like a Suzuki'  ???

Then same guy sold me the correct part for my Suzuki/Tracker look alike
