My buddy just put a round magna flow that was strait thru and about 18" long on an 8 valve tracker with no cat and a Thorley.  2" front to back.  At cruising it  mellows nicely!  nice tone thru the gears!  He was hoping it would sound better than my Zuk!!!  We like loud!!! No such luck!   He can keep trying.
