Hey Guys,  I still havn't goten to whole hub problem worked out.  I don't know what the deal is.  I've torn it apart a couple of times and still no luck.

It is the front right hub.

I think I might need new bearings.  Nothing is grinding and everything spins smooth, but as soon as I start driving on it the camber goes to hell.  Ive replaced the struts thinking that would fix the problem but it did not. 

I've tightened up the bearing lock plate and washers as much as I can.  I'm not sure whats wrong.

UPDATE: here they are.

The Tie rod looks straight to me.  When the wheel moves back and forth the tie rod doesn't move.  Just the disc rotter and the hub.

I'm sure it's just the angle, that causes me to see only ONE strut bolt to the hub?

 Yeah, sorry about bad angle the other strut bolt is behind the brake line.

When you have it jacked up and you grab the wheel at 12 oclock and 6 oclock do you  have play in and out movement at the top of the wheel. It is possible that your wheel bearings are worn even if they are not grinding. I had a set that where like this and didn't see anything wrong with them. I got another hub  from a You pull it yard and it fixed it. Do you know how tight those bearings are to be tightened to? I forget the torgue but it's freaking tight.

I'd suggest grab some replacement bearings and make sure they're tightened correctly.  There are only 2 things that would cause the camber to be thrown out so bad like that.  1 is the strut isn't attached properly at the 2 lower mounts, or up top.  Or 2, the bearings are screwed or not adjusted correctly.

What kind of tool do you use to torque it down?  Its not exactly something that a socket can fit around.  I tired taking a screw driver and hammering it around But that didn't help.  I called the you pull its around where I live and no one has one.  Arg.  There are a couple people on here that might be able to help.

Are you sure the strut tower isn't bent? I'm really sorry, but is it possible to get one more picture, one of the inside of your engine bay with the hood open, so we can see the strut towers?

 

Does the ball joint end of the control arm look bent to anyone else?.. I checked mine and it doesn't seem to have that angle to it..if you put it in reverse and back up a few ft and take a look, does it correct?

I have to go to work tonight, but first thing in the morning I'm going to check it out and take some more pics. 

UPDATE: Got the pics of the strut mount.  It does look off but I don't think this is the cause of the problem.  I think its the bearings I need replaced?

Is it hard to change a bearing in a hub?  I know they have to be "pressed" but I've read that you can do this with a block of wood.  Does anyone know how to do this?

Havn't checked the ball joint.  Now that you mention it it does look a little bent.  When its daylight Ill check it out.
