ok i have a stock sidekick and i have 1300$ to put into it and i want a lift and tires but im not sure what lift and what tires i want to get but all i no is i want a 3" suspenion lift and im gona make my own body lift out of square tubing so if any one has and ideas or suggestions that would help

When you build your 3 inch square tube bodylift make the front and rear 6 inches long. It makes it easier to mount the bumpers. I would just coil spacer the suspension so you can spend the most on tires.

well isnt the biggest coil space they make like a 2", so how big of tires do u think i could fit if i did some trimming

id go with 1.5 in coil spacers(bout 2in of lift)...$90  if you dont wanna make the body lift calmini got a 3incher for $150    31" MT baja claw radials and rock crawler wheel combo form desert rat...$700..........thats $940 bucks so you still got some left over .. you might need to trim just a tad of the fenders for good clearance with the tires...but with all that said you should be set

if i get 1.5" coil spacers do i need to do anything esle like get longer shocks or do i need nothing they will fit in perfect

you'll need to get 1991 ford crown victoria shocks for the back...they bolt right up and only cost like 20 a piece...and all you need to do is flip your front strut mounts over and you'll be set

i no what a strut is so what do i do just take it out and flip it

If you have the money I would just get the Calimini 3' Susp lift, and the skys 2'bl and find some Cheap 31's

if you dont mind trimming the front fenders just a little, 31's will easily fit with a 3" lift. thats what i did.
3" calmini suspension lift, 31x10.5 tires, 15x8 wheels

I'm a noob to the whole off-road thing, but when getting a 3" susp. lift from calmini, and thet 2" body lift, this makes 5 " I presume.....

Then you put 31" tires on.  How does this affect steering?  I mean are there steering mods needed that aren't included, or is this all included in the kit? 

Also (not to hijack the thread), Having 31" tires on these little vehicles, how do these small engines handle it.  I mean, 70 mph on the highway out of the question now?  Does it make it sound like a bumblebee trying to get to 20mph?

I am doing there 3inch suspension lift.  its alot cheaper than most other companys lifts.   No spacers either. 

yea i no about boondox but there lifts wont be forsale for a month or 2 bc there redesining there axle drop brackets but i saw that on one of the forums on here

no steering correction (other than an alignment) needed with a suspension lift. A body lift will require a spacer in the shaft from the column to the steering box.

Calmini's lift will eat up almost your whole budget. try sky's off road for coil and body lifts. Get some cheap 15x8 steel rims and whatever tires will fit with the budget left over.
