Actually if you could give me the dimensions of the contact patches and angles of the bars... and some detailed pics it would be much more usefull :) maybe I could fab something with the pipe from the garage and some plate. I'd like to make a roof frame that I could slide back like a drawer to open the sunroof when the rack is on. My only setback is finding or making a set of drawer rails that will hold up to the weather and weight.

The G/F is out at the moment but I'll measure it up when she's around and post details for you. I payed US $70 for this one from a on line auction kinda like ebay.

Front mount

Mid mount

Rear mount, you pop out the small cover above the tail light and theres two small holes there all ready.
The tray on the hard top in the back ground is a home built one too,you could adapt the idea to fit to the soft top too

What angles are you talking about ?

It would be quite difficult to give exact measurements of the finer details (IE: mounting brackets), but I can give you a rough idea of what the rails lengths etc are ??

Theres nothing much I'd change if I built one it does fine for carrying my Kayaks etc..

Thats a pic from Sunday, 90 deg F outside and 6 hours in the water, what a way to spend the  day   ;D

Kayak was supplied by http://www.bliss-stick.com/news for any one interested.

looks like that rack system would definitely hold my surfboards and a small safari rack to boot!  And the wheels look pretty good too!

By the way Saturday was 75 degrees here, surfed 2 hours, put my board back in the truck by sliding it in through the back opening up onto the dash, board just touched the inside of the windshield and cracked the glass. Can you believe it???  The board just tapped the glass and it cracked!

Then Sunday temp dropped to 32degrees!  Welcome to Florida!!!

PS: back up in the 70s again!
