AMERICAN SUZUKI OUTPACES INDUSTRY, POSTING A 26 PERCENT YEAR-END GAIN
BREA, Calif. (February 1, 2005) - American Suzuki Motor Corporation (ASMC) begins the new year with strong sales, posting a 15 percent increase compared to the same month last year, selling 5,414 units in January 2005. This marks Suzuki's twelfth consecutive month of rising sales, including three months of best-ever sales in 2004. Leading the way this month for the model line were the Forenza models, achieving a 79 percent increase, and the XL-7 SUV, gaining a 35 percent increase.
Fueling Suzuki's record sales and success is the rapidly expanding product line featuring the addition of two new vehicles to the 2005 family: the five-door compact Suzuki Reno and versatile Forenza Wagon. These products, combined with the growing network of more than 540 U.S. dealers - up 89 percent in 2004; and America's #1 Warranty, Suzuki's industry-leading, 100,000-mile, fully transferable, zero-deductible powertrain limited warranty; continue to strengthen the Suzuki brand.
