Hello all,
I've been working the past couple days to organize and strip a '93 Swift GTI harness to install into an '86 Sami. I've got it all cut apart and figured out except for a few things. Some of which are minor but a few need resolved.
1) The factory manual I have doesn't mention a Swift GTI, it has a Swift GT which I've been using and most of the stuff lines up right. Is there a GT and a GTI of is this the same car?
2) The diagram says there should be W B G R wires going to the TPS, my harness has B Bl Y R, these definately go to the TPS so I'm guessing this is unimportant
3) The diagram shows a Br/W and a B/W wire going to the distributor, my harness has a Lg V B set with the proper plug for the distributor. Any thing I should know here?
4) I've got a B/W wire going to a Power steering pressure switch, and a Bl/Y and W/Bl est going to a P/S solenoid vacuum valve. What do I do with these? I'm guessing they bump the idle when there is a load on the steering system. How would I hook them up?
5) I've got a Br/Y wire coming out of the ECm and heading to the diode. The diode is fed by the rad fan relay, rad fan thermo switch, clearence and side marker lights, high mounted stop light, stop light switch, rear de fogger, rear defogger switch, A/C coupler, heater resister, and heater blower switch. What does this Br/Y wire need/ do?
6) There's a Bl/R wire coming out of the ECm that heads to the A/C coupler, I'm hoping this is just the A/C idle up. Do I just wire it into the A/c clutch?
7) There's a white wire out of the ECM that goes to the fuse block, automatic seatbelt control module and domelight. Does this just need switched power or is there more to it?
Finally I Y/G wire out of the ECM going to the Vehichle Speed Sensor. I have no VSS. From what I can infer it's located in the dash of the Swift which I never got. What is it and how to I hook it up. I saw rocky road modifys Sami dashes with a VSS but I'm not running stock guages.
