manual gear box fluid change on GV
« on: May 31, 2006, 11:34:17 PM »
where is the plug to fill it? I think I've spotted the drain plug before. and also, I think I saw a plug on the side, may be the fill hole and I was thinking it would be like an axle and also the tranny oil on my quad where you fill till it runs out a bit and hurry to get the plug back in... am I correct?

any help is welcome and appreciated, I am 600 miles past due on doing this if it's every 30k you are supposed to do this like the stuff I found said

thanks

filling plug is on the right hand side, as i can see on the poor drawing in the manual.
if i remember correctly, it is at the right side.

1,5 Litres in transmission, 1,7 in transfer. use 75w-90 oil (HIGHLY RECCOMENDED in manual)

tighten plugs 23NM/2.3KG/17,0lb-ft

caution: *oil must not be poured trough gear shift control lever part.
*do not loosen or remove reverse idle gear shaft bolt

use sealant 99000-31110 on plugs

hope this helps.......

Take the fill plug out frist then the drain plug.  I've seen people drain something and they can't refill it. Then your SOL
