EFI 1.3L TBI (in 87 Zuk) Suggestions needed
« on: April 12, 2006, 10:11:16 AM »
Just talked to trail tough... they want about $400 to do the wireing harness.... I don't want to convert to EFI quite that badly...

Looking for suggestions on a course of action now.  Either I run both the OEM 87 Wireing harness in the zuk, along with the OEM harness out of the 91 geo metro I stole the TBI system out of....

Or, I pull the head off the Zuk to remove the cam that's causing it to fail emissions (it would pass if EFI, however the carb isn't helping with this cam)

Both are "roads" I rather not have to go down... however, trying to figure out which would be best in the long run.

Side note: anyone know if I'd be able to swap in a wiring harness from a 91 zuk? -- I heard those are 1.3L TBI from the factory.... if allt he otehr connections are the same, this could work out rather nicely (provided I can find a wiring harness for a decent price)

I'd be inclined  to run both harnesses but strip all the unnecessary wires out of the Metro harness to make it easier to route. I don't know about the 91 harness.
