Swap Ideas for a Sammi?
- 1.3 Metro TBI injection, virtually a fall in mechanically but you have to adapt the injection
(70 hp |removethispart|@ 6000rpm)
- 1.3 DOHC MPFI injection, close to a bolt in but then start adapting the injection again
(100hp |removethispart|@ 6000?rpm, very high rpm peak torque)
- 1.6 8 valve, close to a bolt in when the adapter kits are used, adapting TBI injection only
other big issue. (80hp |removethispart|@ 5500rpm, torque peak far lower rpm than the 1.3 DOHC)
- 1.6 SOHC 16 valve, nuts and bolts about the same as 1.6 8 valve, injection issues a little
bigger. (95hp|removethispart|@5500rpm if I remember right)
- 2.0 16 valve J series Suzuki, fits the bell housing, custom flywheel/ clutch assembly needed,
custom motor mounts, adapting injection and accessories.(135-150hp depending on version)
- 2.5/2.7 24 valve V-6, engine-trans-t/case-d/shafts-mounts all around-cooling-injection and
other issues (150-180hp depending on version)
Then there is the whole sross breed issue........Chevy-Ford-Chrysler V-6/V-8's
From what I have seen the 1.6's are the most popular, big hp and torque jump at rpms that make sense for 4X4 trail work.....then there is the issue of mods to those engines.
Right Wild....
Just some thoughts
