Okay, I'm about to the point where I need to either figure it out and get it running or just be rid of the damn thing. It's sucked up way to much of my money, I still haven't fixed the Ranger or the GV, school started 2 weeks ago, and frankly I'm a bit past disallusioned with it.
90 Tracker 2 door convertible
-91ish 1.6L 8V
-4x4 with manual hubs
-5 speed stick
-drove great when I had it running
-decent tread on the 205/70R15 AT tires
-surface rust in all the usual areas but nothing bad, the body is actually pretty damn solid for a 16 year -old Michigan vehicle, just a few SMALL holes in the rear floorboards.
-gutted the interior to get rid of the stinky carpet and rattling rear seat
-removed the front and rear bumper covers and rocker fascia
-No options, plane jane beater. Least that's what I was hoping for.
Smoking from coolant. Has a new head, new top end gaskets, new head bolts, PCV valve, new cap, rotor, wires, and plugs and I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting. I might fix the passenger side window, right now it's damn tight going up, almost impossible. At least it stays up though. Oh, and the new soft top. I just can't figure out the engine problem by myself, not enough of a mechanic.
