There is a slight difference in the output port
of the 1.3 pump, tho I don't know why. I think
they will interchange, but there could be differences
in the swept volume of the pump and/or pressure
relief valve settings.  I know the 16V OBDII needs
a crank position sensor, and that pump is different
in the housing design, as well as is the oil pan.

Make sure the gasket fits the pump body correctly
before you put it on, don't want any leaks there, it
could get really messy

What problem are you having ?

Why do you need/want to change
the oil pump ???

I'm changing the oil pump in my 89 as soon as the part gets here because the seal around it is leaking, and if I take it apart, I'd rather spend the 90 bucks and not worry about an oilpump failure.
