new rear shocks w/ calmini 3"
« on: December 13, 2005, 10:21:05 AM »
OK I know I,ve heard about Crown Vic. shocks, but do any of you have any other suggestions. My prob. w/ the crown vic. shocks is that I dont think that they are the correct length w/ the calmini 3" lift on a trakick. I could be wrong but I just don't want to spit out a spring at full travel. I will tell you that my lift is so flexy that I rub 30x10.5s on 23/4" backspaced rims with the calmini3" and a Sky 2" body lift. Any help would be great.

     Thanks,

       Kevin

Rear springs don't spit out on
Track/Kicks like they do on YJs.

Jack up the body and see how
loose the spring gets, mine are
rattle loose, but there is no way
they are going to fall out of there.

If you have any doubts, you can
anchor the bottom of the spring
to the cup on the axle.

The CrownVic shocks almost looked to be 3" longer to me, here mine are before I put them on next to the stock ones (Track/kicks same as X90)
Got the cheapest ones AutoZone had figuring they would be the light weight ones, they were $13.99 ea...
