I seem to have a problem which im pretty sure its the ECM, my car (1992 sidekick automatic)turns on and it seems like the car wants to start but the engine doesnt want to pick up , i went to a mechanic who told me it was the ECM, my friend assumed also.  Does anyone have a suggestion ?  i also heard someone who's well known on this site and fixes ECM's.  Well, if anything, the part # is 33920-56B40.   Thanks.

Take the cover off and check for the common leaky capacitors problem.  This seems to be what causes these boards to fail most often.  Also, I believe the 8V motor ECMs are much more prone to failure than the 16V.  So if you have a 16V motor, you may want to check elsewhere.
