How do you mount these?
« on: November 29, 2005, 08:59:40 AM »
I bought a set of side step tubes off ebay.  They look a lot like this:

The guy said his 99 tracker lease was ending, hence he was selling off the accesories.  I gought it for a bargain of a price.  But now that I'm trying to install it, it seems like some bracket is needed.

I went to the GM cealership, the Suzuki dealership and Van and Truck World.  They all tell me that because this is a factory accesory, none of the aftermarket brackets will work.

Then there's the calmini bars that state they just bolt up to the frame (with minor drilling).

If anyone had a set of tube type side step bars as a factory (dealer installed) option on their 1999+ tracker / GV take a look at the bracket and tell me what it looks like.  Better still, post a pick.  Any help would be appreciated.
You'll never catch me now!

Take a pic of the end that mounts to the frame and I am willing to bet you will get some help.
It may be as simple as drilling a few holes of just using some square U bolts. can't tell unless we see it.
