Aerio SX Question
«

I have an Aerio SX that was winched. My wife was driving when the car slipped down an embankment. I was wondering if any of you guys know how to winch this car. There was some damage done via winch and the driver of the tow truck says he didn't do it. I'm trying to find someone who knows where not and where one should winch one of these cars.

theres really no place i could think to winch w.o damage
either ud rip the bumper off or scrape the bottom of the body pannels when u hooked it under the car

Hi, I did towing/recovery work about 11 to 12 years ago. From what it sounds like there was probably not too many options for what to hook onto in your situation. I used to try for a suspenison piece (like an A-arm) or something like that, that was usually the strongest. Really sorry to hear about it, hope your wife is ok, that's the important thing, cars can be fixed......At least that's what everybody always tells me
Take care, Dave

left rear bottom section of the bumper. there's a cover that you can remove, and there's a shipment hook in there. you have to remove the cover very carefull. the bottom of the cover have two plastic clips that you have to use a flet screwdriver. when you put this cover back be very carefull the clips will brake.

Problem is that when a car goes over an
embankment, it ends up witht he frame
or body burried in the dirt, and hard to hook
to the right spot. I would say using the shiping
hoops is the best way.
Sorry about your car,
hope it's OK
