Got CB for Xmas.  What is a good place to put the antenna and size ant type

I got a piece of 1/8th by 1 inch steel about 10-12 inches long.  I drilled a hole big enough to fit over a wheel stud in the spare tire mount in one end and a smaller hole in the other end for a whip antenna mount.  Then I bent it 90 degrees about 3 inches from the stud hole end and painted it.

Attach the whip antenna to it and bolt it onto one of the spare tire mount studs.  Run your coax down the passenger side -- leaving a bit of slack at the tailgate hinge -- and through the spare to the antenna itself.

A whip antenna is perfect for attaching one of those bright orange flags to so the ATVs will see you coming at your favorite ORV park. :o
