Do you rub on the frame? I have 30 9.5 with 5" backspace that are rubbing a little. I guessed that by increasing the height  of the tire 4" I would need to decrease the backspace by 2" since I was rubbing thought I needed a little more...
I'm running 15x8" rims with 3.75" of backspacing, just to clarify the rim size. I don't rub the frame at all. These rims came off of a fullsize Ford truck and I got them for $30 for all 4. I actually have more frame clearance with the swampers on these rims than the stock silver steel rims with 215-75-15's! If I had it to do over again, I might have gotten 15x7" rims so I had more bead edge protection, and I still would have cleared the frame with the same backspacing, 3.75", but this setup seems to work very well...
