Hey all,
I have a 1991 Sidekick, didn't pass the AZ Emissions fuel tank pressure test. Just pulled tank and was replacing all the rubber lines when I decided to try the little tank on top of the fuel tank to see if it was leaking. It's plastic, about 4"X2"X1", has two fittings coming out of it and seems to be hollow. I blew into one fitting and air came out the other fitting, then I plugged one and blew into the other and air came out the back. So I checked it and it has split at the rear seam.
My question is, can I just bypass this by running the two hoses together, or will this cause any problems? I cannot wait until a new one arrives, I need to be up and running by Monday as this is my only vehicle. Maybe epoxy it? But would fuel vapor break down the epoxy?
Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
