American Suzuki's Sales Up 6 Percent In First Half of 2005
BREA, Calif. (July, 2005) - American Suzuki Motor Corporation (ASMC) posted a 6 percent increase in sales this calendar year despite a relatively flat sales month compared to June 2004. Overall, ASMC sold 7,449 units for the month; with the top-selling Forenza family achieving a strong 35 percent increase over June 2004, selling 4,297 units this month. The Verona also saw a noteworthy 47 percent increase, selling 1,329 units.
"We are encouraged by the sales growth of the Forenza vehicles and have high expectations for our entire product line," said Koichi Suzuki, president of American Suzuki's Automotive Operations. "With a strong summer sales campaign and the launch of an all-new SUV in late summer, we expect strong sales for the second half of 2005."
Contributing to Suzuki's sales is a rapidly expanding product line featuring the addition of two new vehicles to the 2005 family: the versatile Forenza Wagon and five-door compact Suzuki Reno. These products, combined with the growing network of almost 540 U.S. dealers and America's #1 Warranty, Suzuki's industry-leading, 100,000-mile, fully transferable, zero-deductible powertrain limited warranty, continue to strengthen the Suzuki brand.
