I was wondering if I use my aluminum spacer can I drill the right patern in the flange at home or would it not be acurate enough (or don't be so cheap and have a machine shop do it)

IMHO

Not close enough, get it done in any half decent machine shop.

as long as your spacwer has the lip on it then it should be fine. The lip is what centers the spacer anyways.
