Has anyone ever done an SAS on Grand Vitara?
« on: February 23, 2005, 09:40:34 AM »
I was just wandering if anybody has done a SAS on Grand Vitara and if so what axels did they use?  There is somebody in my area with a set of Dana 44 from a late 70's Wagoneer complete for a steal.  The front is R/H pumpkin.

Thanks for the link.  I have looked on cardomain under GV before and it was useless.  It seems like 99 percent of them were lowered and dolled up with neon and chrome rims ???. I do not know alot about the Dana 30 Axel but apparently the Dana 35 axel have a bad reputation with the jeep guys.

Doing an SAS on a GV will be difficult as you need to change your rack and pinion steering to recirculating ball like the 1st gen tracker has in order to be able to do it.  Lots of extra engineering.  But if you are going to the trouble of swapping anyway, it might be worth a shot.
Can he say that here
