Under Dash Relays

I pulled off the plate above my ECU this evening to trace through the wiring to the main relay and fuel pump relay. When I got the plate off I found that there were 6 identical relays. I know one is the main relay, one is the fuel pump relay. Its a M/T so I wouldn't expect the A/T lockup relay to be fitted, also it has no aircon, elec windows or any other 'luxury' items. Its raining now so I won't be able to look at again until tomorrow at the earliest. I will pull out each relay in turn and see what (if anything) stops working. I think one could be for the rear fog lights, maybe one a horn relay??? Anyone got any suggestions what else to try? There are no schematics for my model and the wire colours don't tally with the early 8vs..

What is the problem that you are looking to solve?
I have a wiring problem that may be similar to yours.  1.6 Tracker that keeps blowing the fuel pump fuse.  I would also like to know about the wiring to those relays.
Jeeps are for people who can't handle a Suzuki!!!

on my 92 4 door sidekick. Look for the pink/black wire. Can't remeber the other color. That was the fuel pump. I didn't realize 6 was the same. On the sidekick. It was like 2 was one type, 2 was another type and then a third one for something. DOn't know.

I haven't got a problem as such. I've been designing new internals for the ECU. I've got all the circuitry designed (I hope- unless these relays are involved!) and done some software development using an evaluation kit. I'm ready to make the first prototype board but before I can do that I need to work out which pin is which. I was working from the details in the FSM so I need to jiggle things about it, I'm just trying to trace all the wiring back. Its snowing here now so I guess its going to have to wait again as I don't have a garage I canbget the car into.

Try the Haynes manual for Suzuki Sidekick/ Geo Tracker, should have that info

The best info. you can find for the wiring is in the Chilton repair manual.  They have better diagrams and more models to look at.

I don't know about the Chiltons manual but the Haynes manual is hopelessly out of date. Mine is a very late 8V (made in 2000) it seems to share a lot of components with the 16V models. It has the stepper motor EGR valve and the 6 way diagnostic connector for example, also the distributor with the built in coil. I have had a good probe about with a DMM and I have worked out where most of the wires go. I am still 'missing' the VSS (maybe the yellow wire) and the Ignition Fail Safe signal but I have most of the rest sorted. Only 2 of the relays were connected to the ECU (Main and Fuel Pump).

that sucks, Probably because that body type was discontinued in the US and Canada before yours was manufactured. Kinda like looking for a samuri book for a 1998 sammy, probably different. Which is better, haynes or chiltons?

might try finding a jimny manual for that vintage ... that's the closest thing I can think mighta had an 8v (1.3? 1.6?) around 2000
