Was she a Virgin or......
« on: December 13, 2003, 07:27:47 AM »
When you first met your trac/kick was she still a virgin? Or did someone else already violate and abuse her? ::)
Mine was a virgin, still smelled fresh and clean.... ::)

Heres some pics of mine still on the showroom floor in 97'

Some of her after i got my hands on her....

And since them i lifted her up and put some bigger rubber into her :o and transplanted some extra cylinders!!

The first couple of years i didn't use her much at all and when i transplanted the V-6 into her she only had 13000 miles on her!

Mine was pretty much a virgin, cept for a few minor scrapes and bruises.

The previous owner was a chick who liked to ride the clutch, don't they all  :-X (oh man I can feel the on coming wrath already. Sorry Heather!)

I think she liked to take her dog everywhere with her too, cuz there are gnaw bites on the hand brake lever, and seat belt locks.  (unless she was some kind of rabid werewolf)

But besides that my Trackick was, and is, as clean as a whistle.  I don't think it saw a day of offroad with the previous owner, because all the 4x4 hardware is mint.

I bought my 1991 Suzuki Sidekick for $8,753.90 (US) with 12117 miles on it in October 1993.  It was apparently previously owned by some lady who rarely drove it.

It's still going strong, with almost everything stock.

Mine was and still is a virgin.  Probably will be for a while until I get it paid off.  Then watch the mods fly!
The Zuke is on its way out.  Getting a vehicle that will behave and be supported by the dealer.

Mine was a well used/abused totally stock 87 Sammy with over 200k on the clock, no top, rear floor partially rusted out, warped head and a rusted radiator.  Other than that, it was in great shape  ::) .  I bought it off E-Bay in May, 2002 for $800.

both of mine were abused hard. but I only paid 300 for the big silver one on yellow wheels. Fired it up and drove it home that night. The other was beat beyond belief. Not a straight panel on it. the previous owner said the transfer case and tranny were stuck in gear, and the motor only ran on 3 cylinders. Put a plug wire on the the number 1 cylinder (not one before), thawed the truck out and drained all the water from the tranny and case, shifted them into neutral. Add one battery and a couple of shots of starting fluid, and VIOLA, it fired right up and purred like a kitten. Best 40 bucks I ever spent. :)
You want me to drive off what????

Piad 1000.00 for mine. Stock. Motor was on its last leg, 62k original miles, someone just ragged the fuck out of the motor and never took care of it. Sooo, I ripped it out and dropped in something bigger and in my opinion , better.

Yeah,  squeaky clean 03 Vitara 2dr  that sat in a showroom for more than a year.  $20,295 CAD - $4500 rebate = $15,795 CAD and they included the hard top in that price.  I also had them install a trailer hitch,  big mistake,  that thing hangs down way low.   I will be modifying it this winter.

AT 5000km I dumped all the fluid in the differentials, transmission and transfer case and filled them with Amsoil gear lube.   I also replace the air filter with a K&N drop in unit.

Looking under the front end,  seeing that aluminum differential has me worried.  I will be fabricating a front skid plate out of 3/16 stainless this winter.

BTW  I would welcome any advice on skidplate design from anyone who has done one for their Vitara.  Also would be interested in wisdom about care and feeding of my new toy.....make that Zuk.

Ya she was a Virgin, 134 Mi. too bad I don't have
any Newd photos, the only pics I got are of
a well adulterated gal now, all the dents and
dings (except the door) are mine, my 4 year
old tossed her into Rev by accident, door was
open, and hit the back of my Semi truck, made
a taco out of the door, sooo .... To the breakers
as James would say.

More faithful than a dog and has always got me
home after a hard ride.

Virgin with 90,000 miles on her but never off-road
I traveled 50 miles to look at a 89 sammi and the guy wouldn't drop the price $200 bucks. Half way home I saw a 95 tracker in a Dodge dealer showroom and bought it for  $4,000 and shocked my dad for buying a Geo not a Dodge.
After 3 years of being a 2nd car I saw Zukiworld website linked from Calmini, Saw Eric's rig and thats how it all started.
