Hi all, So long story short, I was on this forum many many moons ago, but then ended up selling my 90 Tracker. I had regretted it so I finally came across a deal to trade for this 1992 Sidekick 4 dr. The problem it has is that is starts up great, runs at idle great, but when you start to drive, it bogs down HARD at 3000 rpms.. if you floor it under load, then it will almost die. If you slowly give it gas under load, then it will get till about 4000 rpms before it completely bogs.
It is throwing codes are 23 and 44.
The timing belt had just been replaced, so I am wondering if one of the grounds didn't get put on correctly. So was looking for any ideas of which ground to look for.
The other thing is this engine does not get hot at all.. I pulled the thermostat and found out that the bubbler was facing the back of the engine and not the front and it does have the correct gasket so it is not floating..
It is good to be back in one of these awesome little guys.. just need to get him running better..
