Ya Edmonton is damn cold.

I grew up there and recall the weather dropping to -45 celcius (including the windchill) on some winters.

Don't miss that one bit *shivers*

It's Edmonton Alberta...funny thing is it was kinda warm today (relatively speaking) about 28F. Freezing rain is the most slippery stuff I've ever driven on!

Problem with freezing rain is its barely frozen...almost greasy...add that to the ice base we already have on the road and you get the idea of how slick it is. It comes down as rain then freezes to whatever it hits...horrible stuff...they get it worse back east

We get that stuff every year here in Michigan.  It really look cool out in the woods with the sun out.  Though it also can do a lot of damage (not counting traffic carnage).
