RRO coil spacers

RRO coil spacers

Looking for some opinions on the RRO coil spacers.  Do the stock struts and shocks still have enough travel with the spacers installed?  Any kind of alignment problems? Any info would be greatly appreciated.  I would be putting them on a 94 tracker.  Thanks in advance for any replies.

I don't have the RRO but this is what I know.  I have had no aligment problems, no uneven tire wear. You will not have as much downward travel in the front (there are a few ways to fix that cheaply) and should put a longer shock in the back. If you are not doing anything really crazy then it will be ok until you can upgrade. I have 2inch spacer on the front and am waiting for the rear.  Roadless gear has the 2inch vrs the 1 3/8 spacer from RRO.

I've got the RRO 1" on front and rear.  The front was tough to get on, I'd hate to try a 2"!  I've been pleased with the amount of lift for the price of the RRO spacers.  
No real alignment problems yet.  Got one just after the install.  I believe the local shop had to do something to the strut (slot it?).  Like he says the downward travel in front needs some work.  
I still have the stock shocks on the rear and eventually will replace those with a bit longer shock.  I think that will help the rear out quite a bit.  Good luck

hey, i have 94 tracker also with 2-3" spacers i dont remember what length they are as i kept changing them to balance the ride height. in the front take off the upper strut mount and press out the three studs. then flip it over get some grade 8 bolts and small washers to fit in the lip of the mount and reinstall. the lower mount on the strut has two bolts remove the upper one, loosen the lower one and put a jack under the spindle and jack it up without the coil in place, ream out the upper hole to folow its path as you move it. the rear just go to the autoparts store ask for a shock stud extender, they didnt have the right threads for me so i cross threaded it then tack welded to be extra confident. and bam you will have the least amount of money wrapped up into your suspension lift.

track this---do you ream out the strut or the the mount on the control arm. Also any pics of it would be great.

how much longer are the OME shock/struts? long enough for the 2" coil spacer?

i dont have any pics right now my battery is dead from leaving it on the other night when i took the pic of the rear shocks(oops). Support front of truck on jack stands and remove front tires. there is 2 bolts that hold the strut to the spindle, remove the top one and loosen the bottom one a little.
Put a bottle jack or some jack under end of hub and lift until spindle tilts inward to touch strut. Ream out the holes in the strut mount to match the hole in spindle. You can use a round file or a die grinder with a reaming bit to do it.  Then just bolt it all back together.
Once you have both sides reamed out you can take it in for an alignment and they can set the camber properly so your tires wear correctly.

Another easier way is to take a compass, placing measure center to center. Take the piveting point of the compass and place in center point in lower hole and draw extending lines from the top and bottom of the upper hole. Or do it the other way if there isn't enough beef, by centering the piveting end in the top hole and drawing extended lines on the bottom hole.

wow, this will some much $$ intead of the calmini 2" lift!  i would kill for some pics of the bottom of the strut!  and why do you have to do that anyway? ???  wont turning over the top mount do the trick?  what am i missing?
