Suzuki samurai acting weird but not all the time
« on: July 06, 2015, 08:37:39 AM »
Okay so for the last few weeks like once a week I will walk out and start the car but it'll take a bit to start it and it only happens maybe once a week or two. But after I start it and I start to go at about 2000 Rpms in each gear it looses power and the exhaust doesn't sound the same. It almost starts to sound like its gurgling and it doesn't have any power when this happens I can maybe go 40mph in 5th gear. I am thinking maybe there's stuff in the gas tank? I replaced fuel filter to see if that was it but it happened again this morning... Any ideas?

Rotted negative ground cable can cause intermittent problems like you describe. My 94's ground cable was rotted where it attaches to the engine block.
