check engine light

 just rolled over 80000 miles and my check engine light turned on and it his 80000 miles...idk what to do i tried jumping the codes but it didnt work...i tried reseting the comp that didnt work...and i tried looken for the switch and i cant find it id apreciate any help thanx

the switch is behind the drives side speaker..tiny tinny little bugger..its there lol

i had mine go off on 80k also and it took a smog guy to find the damn switch lol

aright i flicked the switch and feel like a butt head for not seein it sooner lol.....also now that i flicked the switch will that stop my check engine lgiht from comen on if sumthin is wrong? just curious

No, the check engine light will still come on, if something craters.  Oh, and it'll come on again (and need you to flip the switch BACK) at 120,000 I know, and maybe at 100,000 (not sure, it's been a LONG time since I saw 100,000 on any of my Kicks).  So every time it comes on, just move it to the "other" position.  If it's a mileage thing, it'll turn off - if it's a real malfunction, it'won't turn off, but be SURE to move the switch back, or you won't know when you've fixed the problem.

Yeah, it'll come on at 100,000... mine did the night before the SAS conversion started...
