The 4x4 transmission has an ouput shaft bearing and seal, so it should be useable w/o the transfer case.
I suggest you find something wrecked that you can get the whole donor vehicle, then check motor height/length-transmission and determine if you can fit it. Having the donor vehicle will save you lots of frustration as you do the transplant.
That swift at 100 hp (I believe will mate up to the Samurai transmission direct) one of the better hp/lbs. The 1.6 L from kickers is a little taller motor, don't want to run another hood scoop on a Healey if you don't have to, just to fit a motor under it.
Which Healey do you have? What is your motor length & height?
