hi guys i haven't been on this forum in awhile.  and have recently picked up a 1985 samurai. which had a ton of weird PO mods .anyways   while i was rebuilding the Aisin 2 barrel Canadian truck.  i couldn't get the idle down  .i have also removed all the choke stuff .because my wax pellet had leaked all the wax out of it  .so the choke wouldnt turn off
anyways ended up the manifold is cracked around the PCV valve and a chunk is missing . so i decided to plug the hole with some JB weld putty .now the thing runs like a champ

question do i need the PCV valve or will i be OK without it .

You'll need some way to vent the crank case - whether that needs to be a PCV valve or not is subject to debate, but, without some sort of crankcase ventilation, you're going to end up blowing out the crank & cam seals.

it still vents out the valve cover through the aircleaner.  so your saying it will still build pressure and blow out the seals
i thought the PCV  was more to do with emmisions.    they dont do a visual inspection here just sniff the tailpipe.
so i may have to fix this properly then . here a few more pics of valve cover and aircleaner you can still see the PCV hanging there.

did the vavle have to go in the manifold .or can i just remove the t in hose and shove the PVC in the hose going to the valve cover.    .im not exactly sure how this one works on this engine i am used to the PCV on the old chev V8's  lol

The vent on the top of the cam cover is adequate to prevent the seals from being blown out, and if you run it to the air intake as shown in the pictures, it will vent excess pressure as it should - you just won't have "positive" crankcase ventilation, which depends on the vacuum developed in the intake manifold to draw fresh air through the crankcase.
