Correcting positive camber after slotting struts....
« on: March 21, 2012, 05:50:28 PM »
Ok so this question is similar to the one below it.  I have just installed a 2" spacer lift from lowrange.  I slotted the top strut holes and moved the hub inward as far as possible which isn't much.  Maybe 3/16".
I haven't had an alignment yet but I can see that I still need a little more negative adjustment.  Should I buy camber bolts for the botttom holes now or slot them outward?  Slot the top strut mount holes?
What do most people do with these 2" lifts?

The front appears to sit a little higher than the rear so I am thinking about cutting 1/4" off the front spacers.

I would never use camber bolts, I have never had them stay tight, and ALWAYS come loose on me. I have never installed that lift before, but If you need more adjustment then slot the bottom a little.

Like I said in the other thread, a couple of us used camber bolts in  last years USA 500 race and had zero issues.
