1992 suzuki sidekick engine swap question

     I have a 2 weel drive 2 door 1992 suzuki sidekick manuel and was wondering what is the best drop in engine to up grade to? i am looking to improve the speed for highway and all around make my car a compleat monster.

You can probably guess by the lack of response there is no easy answer.  If you have an 8v motor upgrading to a 16v wouldn’t be terribly difficult, and would require little to no custom fabrication.  I think your rig should have 5.12 gears, but if it doesn’t, that would be a super easy upgrade.

The 2.3l from an Aerio is probably the easiest swap. 155hp is a nice bump from the stock 85.
