spacers, lines and shocks recommendation
« on: March 11, 2012, 11:08:55 PM »
OK guys (ladies?) couple of recommendations vs my ideas.

Got a 3 inch lift on her (springs w/HD shackles), new 235/75 MTs on stock wheels (love the look) and moved the front axle 1 inch forward.

Extending the shock mounts now, but know new ones are better, recommendations???

Drive-line spacers, think I need 1.5 in front and 1 in the rear, does that sound right?

Brake lines look little short, but OK until I go wheeling. I remember reading about cheap replacements but searching showed little. I would rather buy new anyway.

I also think I will mod the rear for a single line vs the crossover I believe my 86 has, should I change the valve?

Left to do;

Rear locker

T-case gears (anyone got some cheap??)

1.6/8v install

Bumpers, rear roll bar and paint

THX!!
I think I had a motorcycle that was heavier!!

About the brakes... try searching for NAPA part numbers.  I remember seeing them online at some point along my journeys.

For the front brake lines I just used stock ones from a Suzuki Sidekick, they gave my SJ-410 all the travel it needed:

96 Geo Tracker, x-SJ-410,  x-White Rabbit, x-Project Trouble
Crawlers NorthWest
x-Trouble Racing

Yep, really want to go with new lines. Figure 25 years old is pretty good life ;) I check out the trackicks or get some lifted lines from a vendor here.

For shocks, I went with monroe 33049's for the front. Heck $29 shipped 8.6 travel, 5 comp and 3 drop.

Haven't decided on the rear, they look close and a mount change could help.

Spacers?? I see some splines form the front shaft out past the boot, haven't looked at the back, been raining  :-[
