samurai 4 pin front diff in tracker wont allow ps axle to go in.

i have a 89 geo tracker and i have put in a 4 pin carrier from a front 87 samurai with lockrite into my track front 3rd member, everything mounts fine and i have it all put back together but i cannot get the passenger side axle to go in.
the splines are the same but i believe the outer bearings of the 4 pin carrier have a smaller inner diameter then that of the 2 pin tracker carrier. so my passenger side axle will not fit into it.
now i have read people use front samurai 4 pin carriers but i now dont know how so any help would be greatly appreciated
thanks

I had mine turned when I installed it. One of our big venders did have the converted piece, so check with Trail Tough, Low Range, or Hawk. If they do not have it, they will say who does.

The trackick passengers side axle shaft is slightly bigger than the hole in the end of the samurai carrier. So the carrier has to be bored out slightly, so the axle shaft will fit through it. Any competent machine shop should be able to do it pretty easily. Or you could do it yourself, just using a carbide bit...but the results will depend on your skill level.
