That depends on your working setup, tool selection and skill level. Try giving Brent at Trail Tough a call since he developed and sells them.

The undertaker is not an overdrive, but an underdrive, ie a reduction box that INCREASES your RPM's if the R&P's are left the same as you currently have installed.

The main useage is when this reduction drive is installed along with lower diff gears(4.6) to gear for 33"+ tires.

You will need custom driveshafts front and rear as well, and I would seriously consider slipjoint eliminator output shafts.

On a 2dr it will really shorten the rear driveshaft, the best application is with the longer 4dr sidekicks

If it were me, I'd say around two days - but - to do that I would need to get the modified driveshafts before I started, and to be honest, I would not attempt it without a spare car available.

About the only work I'll do on my car without a spare available is an oil & filter change - if I tackled something like installing an undertaker that would pretty much guarantee that I'd have a problem for example one of the bolts holding the crossmember in place would shear or strip - nothing that I can't fix - but there will be something that would necessitate a parts run.

Brent hasn't had good luck with the undertaker, tolerances  in the case caused all kinds of problems with it like vibration and noise. He had to find a machine shop that would do a better job of it. I had the chance to take a look at one in Petroworks shop and from what I saw I would not buy one. There are no locating pins in the case the bearing were too small and the bearing were not pressed into the case so if a bearing went bad it would spin in the case and ruin the case. Call Petroworks and discuss it with them. Gary is a HONEST guy and the guys in the store are great too. Iv'e never had a problem with them trying to see me something that would not work or something I didn't need.

Yeah, I've looked into that as well, but you need to get all kinds of stuff, shifter, tail section, torque converter, etc, etc. I'm getting lazy in my old age and just want to bolt it in.  ::)
