they also have 4.30's from the newer rigs (99 and up) I know because I got a set from trail tough so I could drive on the street with the 6.4 t case.

4.30s can be found in trackicks as early as 94.

I did the exact same thing.
4.30 gears with 6.4 t-case.
Has me spinning about 4000rpm at 65 mph and a decent crawl ratio of 100:1

What size rubber are you turning with this setup ???
This could be good info to post for a real world comparison

Edit

I went and checked your profile and it shows you are running
31" x 12.50 Pro Comps

yeah, that is it.... on 15 x 10 rims with 2.5" bs.
Unfortunately Pro Comp no longer makes this tire in 31 x 12.50 so I will have to either switch tires or go to a 33 x 12.50 tire.
The 33" tire should drop me down to about 3800rpm at 65mph but that is just info from a gear calculator, not real world yet.

I like the 6.4 t-case. It has a good low range reduction and not as much of a high range reduction as some of the others.
Best of both worlds for a dual purpose setup.

Here is the calculator I used when I was trying to figure out gearing.
The first one is great for comparing two setups side-by-side. They also have a few of the Sami combos already loaded in the tables. : http://www.grimmjeeper.com/gears.html

Here is another good table : http://www.lepayne.com/gears.html
