« on: July 09, 2011, 04:01:38 PM »
Ok so we swaped the motor and it was starting great but we found out the vac line to the trans was off put it on tightened everything upand now the starter just clicks clicks clicks when you try to start it. Can't find anything that's lose or knocked off and I'm just lost as to what it could be???? Any ideas?

Thanks

could be one of the cheap battery cables with the silver tipped steel ends on them, they corrode on the inside.

Try running a jumper wire down to starter solenoid, then when ready to start apply 12 volts off the battery.
  • If it starts just fine you have wiring issues, not getting 12 volts to solenoid.
  • If it still clicks you have starter or solenoid issues.
This should get you pointed in right direction.
