Installing WEBER 32/36
« on: October 31, 2009, 05:26:45 AM »
Couple of questions.
Can I use stock fuel pump?  If not do I mount electric fuel pump before or after stock fuel filter located at gas tank?  Do a mount the fuel pump regulator at carb fuel inlet and set it to 1.5 #?
Thanks for the help.   The '87 sammy is stock.  I have installed a 2" exhaust with Thrush Turbo, no cat for some good flow.

If you going to install an electric f-pump then you need pressure regulator or make sure you have a good fuel return line and place T-joint in the fuel line before the carb. One hose goes from pump to T-joint, another, tha is infront of it, goes to return line and 90 degree one to the carb. I did so cause I used to have FI when just bougth my Sammi and then switched to carb still having FI pump in the tank with relativly high pressure. Works great, no overflow issues.

Good luck!

I used my stock pump when I first did mine worked after the 1.6 swap I had to got to a electric pump, if you go elect go with a rotary vain pump there allot better then the diaphragm pumps.
