Daytime running lights
« on: June 09, 2011, 03:04:22 PM »
I'd like to install some always-on daytime running lights on my stock '87 Sammy.  Is there a readily available wire I can tap into that is close to the front of the engine compartment?  This is a daily driver.  I thought about using the lighter circuit, since it's a pretty high-draw circuit, but it's awefully far away.

It would be easy enough to wire in a relay that turns on some DRLs with the ignition,
you can wire the feed to the battery with your fuse of coarse, and just use the lighter
circuit to activate the relay, now you have no new loads placed on the existing circuits
