Trying to get an idea for price
« on: May 18, 2011, 08:07:44 PM »
I have a 2001 2 door zr2 tracker soft top with a calimini suspension lift, 31" tires with about 60% tread, lower gears and 112,000 miles. body is in pretty good shape no major body damage just scratched, has warn hubs,  excellent interior. I know pics would help and I will try to get some up tomorrow but just wondering what a good asking price would be.  Thanks

So your truck has the 1.5" Calmini lift, probably 5.12 (?) gears in the diffs, warn hubs, low miles (for an '01) and a clean interior.  I'm guessing it has a 2 liter engine with a manual transmission?

Around this area (Indiana) I'd estimate somewhere between $3,500 to $4,500 depending on any other disclosures about mechanical conditions or needed repairs, type of wheels and leather or cloth seats AND how well maintained the truck is.  The unknown factor is there may be someone out there actively LOOKING for a short wheel base Tracker they want  to modify and your mods may weigh in more on price.  It would be more better for you if this person is on the same coast as you.   Run of the mill Tracker/Vitara drivers just look at their trucks like.... an SUV.  They don't care about "mods" and many are even suspicious of them.  Lots of scratches alone will pull down the sale price in their eyes.   On the other side of the spectrum are the nuts like us who are interested in them.  It's been said on here before, and it is just a fact of life, it is difficult to recoup money invested in aftermarket parts.
'02 Chezuki Tracker with a 2 Liter and 5spd.  It works for me!!!
