im fixing to go to electric fans. Im thinking about running a pull fan where the stock fan is and a push fan on the front to the side. so the whole rad is getting cooled. Too much cooling?

Ahhhh - largest I've seen was a 16" which is taller than the radiator on my 2.0, but narrower - 2 x 10 pullers is what I have been considering, not only do they move more air (cfm) than a 16", but they can be run in series - half speed, less cooling, less noise or in parallel for maximum airflow when necessary.

This is how it's done on the new (second gen) Grand Vitaras, where the fans are controlled by the ECU.

Now I just have to wait until it gets warm enough to try the same 4 lo test with the AC on.
Nah! Just put on a sweatshirt and suck it up! :P
This is all helpful info, so thanks. Giving you feedback always helps the next guy.

Inchaos, I'm fixin' to do it too. I'm becoming one of those "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" kinda guys now. I figure I'll save my time and money until if/when my cooling system has problems. Going to a large aluminum radiator and dual electric fans would be great...but the stock system is working for now with no problems (it has been running a tick warmer than usual lately though...hmm...this thread gives me ideas >:D). I'll seriously consider it  if that day comes.

Either that or I just run it till it dies to give me good reason for a VW td swap ::)

DJ, if it's working good, LEAVE IT THE HELL ALONE!  >:D
I finally broke down and got a new radiator yesterday because it overheated again Sunday sitting in Philly stop and go traffic for an hour. When I pulled the old one, I took the top off to have a look inside and about half of the tubes had some kind of stop leak crap plugging the openings. Not completely plugged, but at least half the opening or more plugged. Now if the tops were plugged, I can only imagine what the rest of the tube looked like.
I took this radiator off my parts car a couple years ago when my old one cracked the top. Wouldn't have thought a radiator with 123k on it would be so gummed up.
Really, if your cooling system is working good, don't try and "fix or improve " it. JMO. I kinda wish my truck was all stock now.

Shit I think that every time I have to change the oil on my tracker...what a PITA removing skidplates all the time!  I changed the oil in the other tracker with no skidplates or anything the other night and was amazed at how quickly I could do it.
