Broken accelerator cable
« on: February 16, 2011, 03:48:25 PM »
I just broke the accelerator cable in my 86 Samurai. It looks to be difficult to unhook it from the carb since I can't even see the end. Are there any tips or tricks to replacing the cable?

Thanks,

Jim

its not that hard. on the carb side, just loosen the 12mm adjusting bolts and remove the cable from the bracket.  the end of it looks like the end of a bicycle hand brake end.  to pull the end off pull the cable 90 from the cam to slide the end out.
