Different question for the Lift Experts - which is best - body or suspension?

If your only doing one then do the suspension lift. The body lift looks uking fugly and cheesy. The only reason we all do it is cause we don't have a lot of lift options with our newer zooks. A lot of people have mentioned negative effects when doing suspension lift. I'm not sure how your trucks rides stock but mine was a floppy unresponsive mess. As soon as I put the coil spacers in and upgraded the shocks, it handled like a sports car....compared to the old ride. I currently have both. 2" body lift and 3" suspension.
Don't kid yourself buddy, we all start small but you cant' stop. your going to get the suspension lift and the body lift at some point in the future so it doesn't really matter what one you start with. Have fun with everything.

I have a "sports car" that I can drive if I want a "sports car" ride - polyurethane bushings, H&R lowering springs, upgraded anti-
sway bars, wide low profile tires - corners like it's on velcro, but too stiff for these weary old bones - my son drives that now. 

The GV is intended to be more of a comfortable cruiser, over longer distances - Guyana is a small country (as countries go), 85,000 square miles of mostly uninhabited rain forest and most of the population lives along a narrow strip of atlantic coast, so as soon as you start heading inland, you're off the pavement and on a laterite surface, if you're lucky, recently graded.

At present the GV handles quite well, you can, of course, tell that you're driving a larger, heavier, taller vehicle (compared to one of the cars), but it's not in any way a boat (loose or floating) - when empty the rear tends to "bang" a bit and in a bounce test, the right rear (the one with the shock that's on it's way out) is still reasonably well damped, but appears softer than the left side.

The need to replace this shock is one of the reasons I'm looking at OME as an option.

"Comfortable cruiser...."   that's a fair description of what you will get with the complete OME system (struts, springs, shocks).  I just priced a complete OME system (at Low Range 4X4, I believe) for $648 plus the shipping here in the states.  How much are they going for down there?  I noted the heavy springs were like .5" taller than the medium springs.

I priced them out today - around double that from the local dealers - I have looked at Sean's pricing, and will probably take it from him, but make my own shipping arrangements - I'm usually stateside two or three times a year, so it's just a matter of waiting for the correct time.

Neither of the local ARB dealers offers a warranty, which would have been the only reason I would done have business with them - sorry boys - you didn't give me the answers I wanted to hear.

My sentiments exactly - apparently it's also not unusual - the Australian forums are full of complaints about ARB pricing in the US being better than in Australia, to the point where it's cheaper for an individual to purchase their ARB/OME product in the states and ship it back to Australia and apparently still come in lower than the Australian retail pricing.

One of the disadvantages of that is apparently the warranty coverage (or lack therof), which is why I was asking about it here.
