No fire to my 87 Sami
« on: November 30, 2010, 10:23:04 AM »
I have a 87 sami stock that was not getting fire. I swaped out the coil and distributor with known good ones. Then I noticed that I have no idiot lights when I turn the key to start it. Is there a fuse that could be keeping me down?  thanks   c

Check the power relay under the dash, or the fuses
that are under the hood, big square ones, they supply
power to the rest of the truck, the should be close to
the battery, or at least have some big wires on them

The haynes manuel is a waste on electrical guidance, where in general would you find the power relay under the dash?   thanks   c

Close to the inside fuse block, you should hear some clicks from
under the dash when the key is turned to the on position, no clicks
then I think you don't have power to the relay
