what size head is this?
« on: November 19, 2010, 10:29:56 AM »
ok a while back i picked up a head and intake with throttle body from a guy and he told me it was a 1.6L 8V head but now im second guessing that because it has a spot in the back of the head like the 1.3 for a mech fuel pump it has a cover on it but when I took it off there is definately a hole there.  He wasnt sure of the year exactly but said that he was told it was from a 92 or later sidekick.  I know the pics arent clear and im sorry I have tremors.

Can anyone help me in figuring this out? since it looks like its been gone through not long ago and still has the little heat tabs on it I would like to have it cleaned and resurfaced and put new valve guide seals on it and sell it but I need to know what size head it is so I can get the right seals.

it's a1.3 liter fuelie head. 1.6 liters don't have the fuel provision in the head! so, it is just a basic 1.3liter head! i wouldn't spend any money on it unless you need it. you will never recoupe your money when you sell it.

Who sold it to you as an 8V 1.6 head?

I'd go throw it through his front window.

oh im cool Im just glad I didnt end up throwing it on. I already got my money's worth basically trading the intake and throttle body for help on rebuilding my front axle and a couple parts I needed I just would like to clean this up so I can get some cash from it for parts I need.

Still man, someone took advantage of you.  Maybe they didn't know themselves, but I don't go around selling stuff when I have no idea what it is.

Just be careful, there are a lot of d-bags that don't care about the camaraderie that goes along with owning a zuk.
