Sidekick E-brake cable to toyota axle??
« on: October 20, 2010, 12:15:29 PM »
Hey so I need help hooking up my sidekick e-brake to my Toyota axle. I bought the clips from Trailtough that mate the sidekick e-brake cable to the e-brake arms on the axle, but how do i set up the cables? I know people have done SAS builds on trackers and kickers so let me know how you did it...
Thanks
Jon K

yeah, I made a bracket that converted the two sidekick cables to the single toyota cable.  I dont need the bracket anymore since I went to t-case e-brake.  let me see if i can find it in the shed tomorrow.

I made this bracket that accepts the two sidekick cables on one end and the single toyota cable on the other end.  the only piece thats missing is the piece that goes in the middle and connects the cables.  I made out of 1/4" flat bar.  one hole in the middle for the toy barke cable and two small holes with a groove to slide the sidekick cables into.

cool, i was actually thinking of something like that. I was also wondering, i noticed the toyota axle has e-brake brackets on the axle. Couldn't i just use the sidekicks leather straps to connect he cable and run the cable to the ebrake leavers?

I'm not sure they'll be long enough. I'm guessing you're adding a good amount of lift with the SAS?
