Is that the Check Engine Light? maybe it's coming on due to
mileage, they do that periodically at preset mileage intervals

Yes, the sensor light is what the early check engine lights were called/named.
If it was coming on because of mileage it would stay on....it wouldn't come on for awhile, then go off, then come back on again.

fordguy....is the sensor light wired up to the check engine light wire in the 16V harness?  If it is, have you tried checking codes to see if any show up?

Mine would come on and go off for a while, then stayed on
solid for a long time, it finally gave up and re-set it's self after
I refused to take it to the dealer  ;D
