All right guys...
So I promised pictures of my TJ flare install. I guess it is going to be more of a how to but that will kill two birds with one stone. Anywho, here we go.
So I had previously removed the stock flare and there mounts. I had also painted the area that was previously hidden by the flare. Here is what I started with.
As you can see, not quite legal here in Washington.
I used a set of four rear Jeep TJ flares. I was given a set of flares from my younger brother who get them in a parts trade. It took me about six months of watching craigslist to find the second set for $75. Now I have a set of four front flares that I do not know what to do with.smokin
To start with, the stock mounting flange and 'pins' need to be trimmed off.
In this picture the locating 'pin' have been removed,
Here is the front pass-side flare mocked up. At this point the flare is unmodified except for the previously trimmed flange and pins.
As you can just see above the flare, the black paint is still visible. Sooo... I had to do something make it look 'right'. I masked it off and painted the outline of the new flares to match.
